Issue Timesheets & Time Tracking
IBN Help Desk makes it possible to control and analyze the information concerning users’ working time spent on issue resolving. In IBN timesheets are filled in by the users and sent to a manager for approval.
Issue timesheet is an entry that contains information about time spent on incident related or some other activity during a working week. Time spent on work has to be approved by a manager. It would be very time consuming to approve every entry. That is why all timesheets filled in during a week are combined into blocks for approval. Schemes of timesheets approval can be custmized in a flexible way, and can be designed for both project and non-project activities.
As approval scheme is a subject to flexible customization, IBN can reflect a wide range of time tracking business processes used by different companies. Though, the IBN default approval scheme can be effectively used at the early stages of using IBN: project timesheets have to be approved by the project manager and then by a time manager; non-project timesheets have to be approved by time manager only.
At any stage of the approval process a timesheet can be approved or rejected. Once it is approved at all stages, it gets “APPROVED” status. If rejected, it is sent one step back. All timesheets can be exported a Microsoft Excel file for further analysis.
